Art & Play / Play & Art

CS: Where are we?

STUDENT A: We are in ancient Egypt, making hieroglyphics.

CS: Can I watch?

STUDENT A: Yes, but there are no cameras or video recorders in ancient Egypt.

CS: Oh, of course. (Starting to put the camera down outside of the tent).

STUDENT B: Yeah, but he entered through a secret portal, and so he is able to bring his camera.

STUDENT A: Oh, well that is alright.

CS: I forgot my camera back in the other world, but will you tell me about your hieroglyphics?

STUDENT A: Yes, I am making the letter "B" but it is very tricky.

STUDENT B: Yeah, letter "D" is hard too.

STUDENT A: Look at my egyptian man, he looks just like the video we saw upstairs.

STUDENT A & B: (Both explaining together) We are only drawing the parts that are still here, because when they mummification them not everything makes it.

CS: Was that in the video upstairs?

STUDENT A & B: (together) Yes!

CS: Thank you for teaching me about this today.

STUDENTS A & B: (together) Yeah, you are welcome.

CS: (now leaving the tent) Which way to the secret portal?

STUDENT B: This way (pointing to (her) left, the side of the entrance).

AS I AM LEAVING THE AREA OF THE TENT I HEAR THIS:

STUDENT A: Goodbye human from another world!

CS: Goodbye ancient egyptians!
